I have learned this part of my story from the memories, stories, and photo albums that others have graced me with. This is how we all learn about ourselves. A time when our memory was infantile and in our state of true presence we had no need to think about past, present nor future. Nonetheless, this is an integral part of life. It is a time of becoming that lays the groundwork for the rest of what is to occur in your life. I think we decide our purpose then, when we can focus on what makes us smile and what only serves to increase the flow of love in our life. We spend our entire lives trying to find that place again, but it can't be replicated and that's what makes it so special. Just like any story there must be contrasting elements and succinct phases. I have found it is best to seep into the ink that is laid on the paper and sink so deeply into the words that you become them. That way you can't flip the page back, you also can't skip forward. You become each letter and etch timelessly at the pace in which you are meant to be written. Each following page is empty and inviting, a blank slate ready to be filled in. There is beauty in the unawareness of what lies beyond each crisp corner. It is boundless and infinite, just as you are. I for one am coming to this realization in my current page. I have long lived in the past and the future, a slave to my mind. I drift away so easily stacking sticky notes on my pages while the ink bleeds through onto my book. And as the ink bleeds through the page still fills up, and so the time comes for the page to turn. Soon a chapter ends and there lies a colorful mess of notes creeping out from the edges. How can you live your life through notes, the substance is just not there. The notes are thoughts, and the substance is action. The true story lies in action upon action, thoughts simply can't compete. Live in the here and not up there, think freely but don't fret. Trust yourself and you will find that it's always just a page. There is no way of telling if you're at the beginning or the end, and personally I wouldn't like to know. Freedom is in letting go of expectations, finding the word that you want to write and simply typing it. If it doesn't;t come out right that's ok. It's your book.
